This year I am
sponsoring the flower pots at the
Village Hall from my own pocket. I
have much
experience
working on my own yard and I believe
the flowers help make our village a
more family-friendly environment. In
September 2009, I promised to donate
the funds to purchase the flowers so
we could return to a decorated
Village Hall.I have placed four (4)
stone Pots at the Village Hall,
along with a variety of flowers and
plants designed by me. Attached are
4 photos of the work. This is a
permanent donation to the Village.
The entire cost of this project was
underwritten 100% by my wife and I.
NO Village resources were used.
As Background on how this became an
issue, Bechter Landscaping was
providing small potted flowers "free
of charge" to the village.
In early 2009, Trustee Michael
Murray asked Betcher Landscaping to
donate money to the village ethnic
Festival.When Bechter refused to
donate saying they could not, Murray
went around the hall and turned the
flower pots around to hide the label
on the pots which showcased Bechter
Landscaping's name. Offended that
their generosity was being abused,
Bechter Landscaping decided to stop
donating the flowers..
In a Jan 9th, 1961 address at The
Boston State House, John Kennedy
said " for those to whom much is
given, much is required" and even
though Pussanee and I and face
challenging times right now....we
have been given much and feel
blessed to be in a position to do
this.
I am proud that I am able to make
this donation for the benefit of the
village.

Every
year the Village of Justice Board of
Trustees employ the help of our local
schools to create a unique design for the
annual vehicle sticker. This year was no
different. In November 2009, Dr. Nebor,
Superintendent of Indian Springs School
District 109 was contacted by Trustee Mary
McGee to begin the process. He was very
excited to work with the Village once again
on this project.
This year's theme for the 2010-2011 vehicle
sticker was “Energy”. The 6th
grade students at Brodnicki School and
Wilkins Elementary School were given the
task to design a village sticker that
relates in some way to “energy”. The topic
was broad so that the students could be very
creative in their design. The Village
received many wonderful creative entries
however, we could only choose three
winners.
This year the winning design was created by
Emily Klimek. Her design will be transformed
into this year’s vehicle tag. In addition
Emily received a $100 US Savings Bond from
the Village of Justice and a plaque
sponsored by the Justice Chamber of
Commerce. Our second place winner Michael
Trebunia received a $75 US Savings Bond from
the Village of Justice and a plaque
sponsored by the Justice Chamber of
Commerce. Our third place winner, Cheyenne
Becker, received a $50 US Savings Bond from
the Village of Justice and a plaque
sponsored by the Justice Chamber of
Commerce.
Mayor Wasowicz and the
Village Board of Trustees would like to
thank all of the 6th grade
students that participated in this
contest. In addition, a special thank you
goes out to Dr. Nebor and School District
109 for allowing the 6th grade
students to partner with the Village of
Justice by incorporating this contest into
the art curriculum.

A Town Hall Meeting has been scheduled for
Tuesday, July 27, 2010, 7pm at the Wilkins
School Library
(map) located at 8001 S. 82nd Avenue,
(Please use the main entrance on the west
side of the building). Plenty of parking is
available in the west/main
parking lot and the north parking lot. The
north and west/main lots must be entered
from 80th st. from Roberts Road and is a
westbound one way street. The southwest
parking lot can be entered from 82nd ave.
from the south as it is a northbound one way
street from 80th st. to 81st st.
Mayor Wasowicz, Clerk Kathy Svoboda and the
Board of Trustees cordially invite the
residents of the Southeast quarter
(map) of Justice, comprised of Wesley
Fields and Roberts Park, but all residents
are welcome to attend.
All residents of Justice are welcome and
encouraged to attend.
These meetings are held in the different
specific areas of the village in order to
make it easier for residents to attend.
Another reason for having smaller targeted
style meetings is that the issues that
concern one area from another differ. This
will allow the board to pinpoint problems if
they exist and formulate area specific
solutions. These meetings will allow
residents to come together with their
elected officials to discuss any issues
openly. Mayor Wasowicz strongly believes
that these meetings will be highly
beneficial for the residents but also allows
the trustees and himself to get a pulse on
the different areas of the village and what
effects them good or bad.
Mayor Wasowicz and The Board of Trustees
want to hear from residents and how they
feel on issues that are important to them.
These open discussions will aid the Mayor
and board in making Justice a better place
for all of it's residents to live!
The Mayor and the Board of Trustees have
done many things in making Justice a better
place but they realize there is more to be
done and they need the resident's help in
doing so!
Please do your best to attend this open
forum. Your voice will be heard and your
opinion is
important.
Bring your questions, concerns, suggestions
and your neighbors to this open forum
meeting. Enjoy a cup of coffee and a
doughnut with your elected officials and
discuss what is important to you. This is an
area specific meeting, but all residents are
welcome.
We hope you can join us there!
