Village President/Mayor, Krzysztof Wasowicz

On April 17, 2007 the voters of Justice elected Krzysztof Wasowicz as their mayor. Kris Wasowicz and his wife, Helen, have lived in Justice since 1988. Their two sons, Christopher and Andrew, attended Brodnicki and Wilkins school. Christopher is a U.S. Marine and has served in Iraq. Both are currently attending Illinois University. Kris received his Masters Degree with a concentration in Biology from the University of Krakow. Kris has set lofty goals for himself throughout his life and has worked hard to achieve them. His goal now is to bring an open transparent style of government to the village and getting Justice as a village to where it should be in every facet.

Village Clerk, Kathleen M. Svoboda

 

On April 3rd, 2001 the Voters of Justice elected Kathy Svoboda as their Village Clerk.
 Kathy has served on the Zoning and Planning Commission and the Police and Fire Commission for the Village of Justice before serving multiple terms as a Village Trustee.

 Village Trustee, Rich Berkowicz



 Rich Berkowicz has served as Village Trustee for eight years. He was appointed to a vacancy on the Village Board in 1996. He was elected as a trustee in 1997 and re-elected in 2001and 2005.
Rich has lived in Justice for nine years. He and his wife, Barbara, have three daughters and six grandchildren. Rich is retired from Commonwealth Edison and spends many of his days at Village Hall. He served as chairman of the Public Utilities Committee.


Rich is chairman of the Ordinances, Licenses & Public Printing Committee.

Village Trustee, Jim Gabrys

 Jim Gabrys has lived in Justice for thirty years. He and his wife, Jeanette, have raised two daughters. The oldest is employed with the Illinois State Police, the youngest teaches at Wilkins Elementary School. Jim earned his college degree in business management and is employed as a financial adviser.
Jim has been an active volunteer at almost every village function. He has been a chaperone at the monthly youth dances for twelve years and past carnival committee chairman and worker. He still takes time to help out at the village block parties. Jim was elected in 2005.

Jim is chairman of the Public utilities Committee.

Village Trustee, Ed Jurgel

 Ed Jurgel has lived in Justice since 1975. He attended School District 109 and graduated from Argo High School. Ed has served 10 years as a Village Trustee. He began his career with the village as a volunteer at youth dances and the annual carnival. Ed was elected into office in
1997. Ed is married and has two daughters 12 and 8. Ed has also been a coach for his daughter's floor hockey team for the last 6 years. Ed has worked for the last twelve years in the insurance business and is currently the Print-Shop and Mail-Room Manager for his company.


Ed is the chairman of the Administration, Building & Recreation Committee.

Village Trustee, Jeff Kranig

 Jeff Kranig was elected as a Trustee in 1993 and due to an illness Jeff thought it best to resign. On April 17, 2007 the voters again elected Jeff a trustee. Jeff and his wife Nancy have made Justice their home for over 20 years. Jeff and Nancy have two children and three grandchildren. Their daughter Lenora and her husband Joe have lived in Justice for fifteen years and have raised their children here. Their son Eric lives in a nearby community. Jeff's grant writing abilities are a huge asset to the village.

 

Jeff is chairman of the Building, Plats and Zoning Committee.

Village Trustee, Mary McGee

 On April 17,2007 the voters elected Mary McGee as trustee.
Mary is a longtime resident of Justice. She attended school district 109 and 217. She earned an Associate Degree from Moraine Valley Community College and has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Management with a concentration in Organizational Leadership from Lewis University. Mary is currently pursuing an MBA with a concentration in Human Resource Management.
Mary and her husband Dan are proud parents of three children, 8-year-old triplets Edward, Kathryn and Daniel.

Mary is the chairman of the Finance and Insurance Committee.

Village Trustee, Michael Murray

 On April 17, 2007 the voters elected Michael Murray as trustee.
Mike has called Justice his home for 42 years. He attended school districts 108 and 217. Mike attended Moraine Valley Community College where he studied Business Administration. He has furthered his education by attending DeVry Institute of Technology where he had studies in electrical and industrial engineering. Mike’s background in business and safety will be an asset to the Village. He believes in fiscal responsibility and accountability.

 
Mike is the chairman for the Public Safety Committee.
