Village Trustee,
Edward Rusch Jr.
Ed Rusch
Jr. was elected trustee in April 2011.
Ed and his
wife Kathy (Sutton) have been married for 37 years. The Rusch family
has lived in Justice since 1975. Ed and Kathy have four adult
children and are happily blessed with five lovely grandchildren.
Ed is a graduated
of Argo Community High School and Aurora University where he earned
his Bachelor of Arts Degree. Upon graduation Ed taught for 6 years
at Wilkins Junior High. He left teaching to accept a position in
finance, purchasing, and logistics with Shell Oil Company. On August
2007 Ed retired after 33 years of award winning service. Recently,
he was asked to forgo retirement and take a full time position at a
local junior high school to teach 8th grade Social
Studies.
Ed is no stranger
to municipal government being a Justice Trustee from 1989 to 1991,
the Mayor of Justice from 1991 to 1997, and most recently Village
Treasurer from 2007 to 2009. Through his experience, coupled with a
working knowledge of municipal government, Ed is confident he can
energetically assist the village, and its residents, with difficult
problems through innovative foresight and committed public service.
