 Village President/Mayor, Krzysztof (Kris) Wasowicz

On April 17, 2007 the voters of Justice elected Krzysztof Wasowicz to a two year term as their mayor. On April 7, 2009 Mayor Wasowicz was re-elected to a 4 year term.  Kris Wasowicz and his wife, Helen, have lived in Justice since 1988. Their two sons, Christopher and Andrew, attended Brodnicki and Wilkins schools. Christopher is a U.S. Marine and has served in Iraq. Both are currently attending Illinois University. Kris received his Masters Degree with a concentration in Biology from the University of Krakow. Kris has set lofty goals for himself throughout his life and has worked hard to achieve them. His goal now is to continue bringing an open transparent style of government to the village and moving Justice forward in the positive direction.

 Village Clerk, Kathleen M. Svoboda

On April 3rd, 2001 the Voters of Justice elected Kathy Svoboda as their Village Clerk.
 Kathy has served on the Zoning and Planning Commission and the Police and Fire Commission for the Village of Justice before serving multiple terms as a Village Trustee.

Village Trustee, Kinga Bartoszek

Kinga Bartoszek was elected Trustee on April 7, 2009. Kinga, has held executive leadership positions in the private and nonprofit sectors, which includes hospitals, national consulting organizations; a top 100 corporation and currently a national nonprofit organization. She is committed to working with Mayor Wasowicz to sustain the viability of the Village of Justice as a great place to live and work. Kinga holds a BS in Business Management from St. Xavier University in Chicago, IL. Kinga was a Zoning and Planning Commissioner for the Village of Justice from 2004-2006, and was appointed as a Trustee from November 2006 to May 2007.

 Village Trustee, Edward Rusch Jr.

Ed Rusch Jr. was elected trustee in April 2011.
Ed and his wife Kathy (Sutton) have been married for 37 years. The Rusch family has lived in Justice since 1975. Ed and Kathy have four adult children and are happily blessed with five lovely grandchildren.

Ed is a graduated of Argo Community High School and Aurora University where he earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree. Upon graduation Ed taught for 6 years at Wilkins Junior High. He left teaching to accept a position in finance, purchasing, and logistics with Shell Oil Company. On August 2007 Ed retired after 33 years of award winning service. Recently, he was asked to forgo retirement and take a full time position at a local junior high school to teach 8th grade Social Studies.

Ed is no stranger to municipal government being a Justice Trustee from 1989 to 1991, the Mayor of Justice from 1991 to 1997, and most recently Village Treasurer from 2007 to 2009.  Through his experience, coupled with a working knowledge of municipal government, Ed is confident he can energetically assist the village, and its residents, with difficult problems through innovative foresight and committed public service.

Village Trustee, Suzanne Small

Sue is an accomplished Operations, Training and Marketing Manager, with over 30 years experience working for fortune 500 companies such as Southland Corp., Pepsi Cola and Sara Lee. She has attained certificates in Human Resources and Employee Training and a BBA in Marketing. 
As Director of Sales Support for the largest direct sales division in the country (70,000 customers nationwide) in the areas of beverage and culinary items for foodservice, she is in charge of internal and external customer training, marketing and product development.  Sue handles the needs of small business owners as well as national accounts.

Sue has lived in the Village of Justice for 20 years and is married to John.  Together, John and Sue have been involved in the community since they bought their first home here in 1990. They have participated in the village clean-up days, the ethnic fest, the beautification committee and the holiday food basket drive.

 Village Trustee, Richard K. Symonds (Rick)

Rick was elected April 5th 2011, to a four year term as Trustee. Born and raised in the Wesley Fields area of the Village. Has lived on the north side for the past 25 years with Darlene, wife of 30 years.

Rick attended Trinity Lutheran School, Wilkins Jr. High School, Argo Community High School, Moraine Valley Community College, Western Illinois University and the National Fire Academy.

Rick worked 24 years as a millwright and maintenance planner for Reynolds Metals Company in McCook and 31 years part-time with the Village of Justice Fire Department as Deputy Chief.   Rick currently works as a firefighter for the Village of Bedford Park
