August 15,16 & 17 2008

The Justice Ethnic Fest was a huge success; the crowds were huge(an estimated 10k +) as we were blessed with perfect weather. The crowds of people enjoyed the food provided by; Coffee and Deli Express (8401 W.79th St. in Justice), House of Burritos (8025 W.79th St. in Justice), Lindy’s Chili / Gertie’s Ice Cream of Bridgeview, New China Express, A&R  Perogis of Bridgeview, Grand Dukes of Summit, It’s a Sweet & Poppin Time of Bridgeview, Maui Wowi of Chicago, and Chicago Classics. The food was fantastic!

The Justice Park District provided huge blowup rides including; an obstacle course, water slide, and a giant slide to mention a few. They also had several games including bean bag toss for the kids so mom and dad could enjoy the fest while the kids played.

Friday evening “Caliente” started things off, They wowed the crowd on with songs by “Santana” and others along with their own Latin flair music.
On Saturday Morning The 12th Annual Justice Auto Show was held on the Village Hall grounds and parking lot. Some 140+ cars, trucks and motorcycles participated in this great event. The Irish School of Dance performed mid afternoon, then “Yard Fulla Cars” performed country hits and their own originals.
The main act was “Five Guys Named Moe” The crowd didn’t want them to stop as they played several encores’!
On Sunday, The Polish Highlanders performed their traditional music and dance in colorful customs mid afternoon.
The “Legends” then took the stage do many musical impersonations the likes of  Brittney Spears, The Blues Brothers, Michael Jackson and Diana Ross. They all made you think the real artists were on stage!
The main act was the “Hat Guys” with their crowd interactive style put on a great show and time for all.

There were some 30 Crafters and service type businesses on hand for fest goers to shop and check out the services available.

The non profit organizations involved were able to raise a lot of money for their causes ( The Bridgeview Starlets, The Rebels Football and Cheerleaders, and  Mothers of Autism). The Mothers of Autism put on a bean bag tournament.

The Village of Justice, Mayor Wasowicz, Clerk Svoboda and Board of Trustees would like to thank the many sponsors, food vendors, crafters, musical acts, volunteers, the Justice Park District and they many people that came out to enjoy all the festivities.
